Dear Students and Parents,
It gives me great pleasure to write you as new dean
of The College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University. During
my years as dean at the University
of Massachusetts Amherst and biology professor at Dartmouth
College, I became well acquainted with Syracuse’s strong
commitment to excellence in scholarship. I will build on the foundations
laid by my predecessor, Cathryn Newton, by seeking
opportunities that benefit you and bring distinction to The College
and University. Your ideas and resources are vital to this process.
