The Chronicle of Higher Education discussed "House of Mourning: A Biocultural History of the Mountain Meadows Massacre," a book by Shannon Novak, assistant professor of anthropology in the Maxwell School and The College of Arts and Sciences (second item).
The Post-Standard reported on the publication of a collection of pictures, poems and stories by workers in the Syracuse area. Their work will be featured at the opening ceremony for the 2008 Ray Smith Symposium "Artworks: The Role of the Arts in U.S. Worker's Struggles," which will be held at SU. SU custodian Gertrude Danzy, associate professor Stephen Parks of The College of Arts and Sciences, and SU student Danielle Rose Quigley were quoted in the article.
Tuesday's MayFest events were featured in a special section of Sunday's Post-Standard.

Research by Joshua Smyth, associate professor of psychology in The College of Arts and Sciences, on childhood traumas and eating disorders was featured in a Reuters article.
The Post-Standard reported briefly on Laura Lee McIntyre receiving the 2008 Professional Excellence Award from Families for Effective Autism Treatment in Central New York. McIntyre is a professor of psychology in The College of Arts and Sciences.

Gustav Niebuhr's latest book, "Beyond Intolerance: Searching for Interfaith Understanding in America," was noted in the Post-Standard's Saturday religion column. Niebuhr is associate professor in The College of Arts and Sciences and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
