Humanities and Social Sciences Funding Opportunities

National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Stipend Program 

The University annually nominates two faculty members for this competitive grant. Successful candidates receive up to $6,000 for two consecutive months of research and writing.  Faculty may self-nominate by submitting a form through the University’s Office of Sponsored Programs. Assistance

Staff members in SU’s Office of Sponsored Programs will help faculty members with their grant applications and budget development. OSP will also help junior faculty members develop a strategic grant application plan for their first three to five years at SU.
