What is a College Ambassador?

College Ambassadors are current liberal arts students who represent The College of Arts and Sciences to prospective students, parents, alumni and other visitors to campus. They play an important role in the college search and selection process of prospective SU students. College Ambassadors volunteer during Fall and Spring admissions events and can be involved in many other activities.

Why are College Ambassadors important?

The college search can be confusing. When prospective students come to Syracuse University, you could be the key to their confusion by answering their questions, addressing their concerns, and sharing with them your personal experiences. Your point of view as a student makes you capable of answering questions that administrators and admissions counselors cannot because many of you live in the residence halls, eat in the dining halls, and study in the classrooms.

How can I become a College Ambassador?

Contact Chris Anderson at cnanders@syr.edu or visit the Arts and Sciences Visitor Center, 301 Hall of Languages for more information. Candidates must be enrolled in The College (dual majors are included) and are selected for their academic and extracurricular contributions to the SU community.
